Usamh Afifi was recently interviewed on TVP World, in which one of the projects in our portfolio – MyWallet by CE Technology—was mentioned.
The question arose—is this the end of paper receipts? In Poland, we are introducing e-receipts, which will be supported by IT systems with remote access via individual applications. Such a trend can already be seen in as many as 22 countries around the world.
This solution will be convenient both for shops, as they will not have to worry about issuing and storing the receipt, and for the customer, it will be easier to get it from the cloud in case of need. What’s more, the solution also fits perfectly with the rules of sustainability. Most receipts end up in the bin moments after they are received, and this solution would avoid unnecessary printouts to be thrown away and reduce paper consumption.
Usamah mentions very correctly that the apps released by the Government, are usually not very user-friendly and only have basic functionality. He also says that third-party apps like MyWallet will offer additional value, such as controlling one’s finances or showing where certain products can be bought cheaper.
We are delighted that another one of our portfolio projects is being recognized and positively evaluated.
We keep our fingers crossed for further development and making our lives easier in the near future.
