As much as 359 million tons of plastics are produced worldwide. Demand for recycled plastics is growing, but in 2018 it accounted for only 6% of plastic demand in Europe. One of the biggest problems of recycling is the inhomogeneous nature of plastics, which results in their incineration instead of recovery.
With an idea to solve this problem comes our latest investment – Wood Plastic Waste. The project’s design is to use heterogeneous plastic waste and wood waste to create a waste composite that can be used to make, for example, furniture, pallets, fences, fencing or boards, giving a viable secondary use for these materials.
